On Saturday Nov. 5, local alumni, parents and friends gathered in Los Angeles, Calif. for the tour鈥檚 fifteenth national campaign tour event. A total of $17,350 was raised as a result of the event for 鈥 a $180 million comprehensive fundraising campaign to raise support for student scholarships, facilities, academic centers and online learning.
David Kinnaman, a Biola alumnus and president of Barna Group as well as author of the bestselling books, and , spoke at the event.
Kinnaman shared a message detailing how the Christian community can be a counterculture for the common good in an increasingly hostile society and noted how Biola鈥檚 vision for the future is vital for impacting the world for Christ.

鈥淭his is the most ambitious campaign in Biola鈥檚 history, with our goal of $180 million, which is nearly 10 times larger than our previous largest fundraising campaign,鈥 said Corey. 鈥淭his campaign is not just about bricks and mortar, but about putting Biola into a better position to carry on it鈥檚 important task of raising up the next generation of Christian leaders in key spheres of society.鈥
Corey also announced the exciting news that The Campaign has reached a total of $179 million committed.
鈥淲e are seeing a lot of momentum, and we are on a good track to reach the finish line,鈥 said Corey.
