Each semester, the SEID symposiums challenge the hearts and minds of Biola students by engaging in biblically-centered discourse tackling difficult social issues facing our society today. This year鈥檚 symposium will engage members of the Biola community in a Christ-centered dialogue regarding immigration and border security. Guest speaker, Liliana Reza, Director of Border Engagement at World Relief and a multidisciplinary panel, featuring Dr. Carmen Imes and Dr. Tom Crisp, will discuss the complexities of immigration and address how to radically love our neighbor and honor the law of the land.
Our key scripture verse is from Ephesians 2:19 鈥淪o then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.鈥
The SEID symposiums create a safe and supportive environment where students have an opportunity to engage in critical analysis of social issues, learn from diverse ideological perspectives and facilitate biblically sound discussions with peers, professional staff and faculty that drive students to be heaven鈥檚 solutions for earth's most challenging problems.
Thursday, Mar 27, 2025, 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 p.m. in Kim Dining Room
