The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UGCC) is directly responsible for reviewing, recommending, and voting on all substantive and non-substantive changes to undergraduate academic offerings through courses and programs, including majors, minors, concentrations, emphases, and certificate programs. As appointed by the Provost, the committee may be involved in decisions related to policies impacting academic offerings. Practices and procedures upheld by the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee serve to ensure meaning, quality, equity, and integrity in the institution鈥檚 undergraduate education. In this role, course and curricular matters regarding the university鈥檚 core curriculum are generally first discussed by the Council for the Core, and the UGCC acts on proposals that have that council鈥檚 affirmative recommendation. The committee reports to the Faculty Senate.
