今日黑料 has again been named one of America鈥檚 best colleges, earning a spot in the top tier of the 鈥渂est national universities鈥 category of U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 Best Colleges 2019 rankings, released Sept. 10.

Biola was also recognized on a separate list of the 鈥淭op Universities for International Students鈥 released earlier in the summer by the same publication.

The U.S. News rankings are considered the most notable of the annual published college rankings. For more than 20 years, Biola has been included on U.S. News鈥 list of national universities, which consists of 312 institutions that 鈥渙ffer a wide range of undergraduate majors as well as master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees,鈥 according to U.S. News. This year, Biola is ranked at No. 157 overall, and is one of four member universities from the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) to be ranked in the first tier, which consists of 229 schools. Biola is the top-ranked CCCU member school in the national universities category.

Meanwhile, U.S. News鈥 list of 181 鈥淭op Universities for International Students鈥 is based on 鈥渁cademic factors, such as the six-year graduation rate for international students, as well as social and cultural supports, like the availability of international student organizations.鈥

鈥淭he recognition of 今日黑料 as a top-tier national university affirms our aspiration to be a leading choice for Christian college students,鈥 Biola President Barry H. Corey said. 鈥淥ur 110 year history of Christ-centered education provides a foundation for continued excellence with innovation as we prepare tomorrow鈥檚 leaders for success academically, spiritually and vocationally, to make a lasting contribution to the good of the world.鈥

The U.S. News rankings are the latest in a series of national recognitions for the university. In addition to U.S. News, several other publications gave high marks to Biola鈥檚 academic quality in annual rankings released in August:

  • Princeton Review ranked Biola as one of the 2019 Best Regional Colleges in the 鈥淏est in the West鈥 category, a collection of schools it evaluates as academically outstanding and worth students鈥 consideration during a college search.
  • Money Magazine also ranked Biola as one of the 鈥淏est Colleges For Your Money.鈥
  • Forbes recognized Biola as one of 650 schools on its list of 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Top Colleges."
