Biola continues to be recognized as a national leader in academics, safety and campus life, evidenced by a series of college rankings released this fall. In September, U.S. News and World Report again named Biola one of America鈥檚 best colleges, placing it in the top tier of the 鈥渂est national universities鈥 category. The annual publication, which evaluates colleges based on academic reputation, test scores, graduation rates and other factors, ranked Biola at No. 159 overall among national universities, among the handful of other Council for Christian Colleges & Universities on that list.

In addition to U.S. News, several other publications gave high marks to Biola鈥檚 academic quality:

  • In July, Forbes recognized Biola as one of 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Top Colleges,鈥 ranking it within the top 15 percent of the nation鈥檚 four-year colleges and universities.
  • In August, the Princeton Review included Biola as one of 127 鈥淏est Western鈥 schools in its 鈥2018 Best Colleges: Region by Region鈥 ranking of 658 colleges nationwide that the organization considers 鈥渁cademically outstanding and well worth consideration鈥 during a college search.
  • Money ranked Biola on its list of 鈥淏est Colleges for Your Money 2017鈥 in August.
  • University-ranking website thebestschools.org put Biola at No. 1 on its list of 鈥淭he 25 Best Schools for Studying the Bible,鈥 citing the university鈥檚 reputation as 鈥渙ne of the world鈥檚 best at framing all of its departments within a biblical-Christian worldview.鈥

Meanwhile, in Niche鈥檚 2018 College Rankings 鈥 based on student surveys and data from the U.S. Department of Education 鈥 Biola ranked No. 4 on the list of 鈥淏est Colleges for Education in California,鈥 No. 6 on the list of 鈥淏est Colleges for Nursing in California鈥 and No. 11 on the lists of 鈥淪afest College Campuses in California,鈥 鈥淏est College Campuses in California鈥 and 鈥淏est College Dorms in California.鈥
