Biola’s women’s cross country team took home a 12th place finish at the NAIA national championships in November, earning their fifth-consecutive Top 12 national finish. Meanwhile, the men capped an impressive season by finishing 26th overall in their first appearance at the national championships since 1999.

Senior Nychele Fischetti was the top finisher for the women’s team, finishing 46th in the 5K with a time of 19:04. For the men’s team, the top finisher was junior Collin Christensen, who ran the 8K with a time of 25:02 and placed 29th.

“It was a true honor to be the first NAIA national qualifying team for Biola since 1999,” said Christensen. “While it is exciting, we want to get to a point as a program where qualifying is the expectation and not necessarily seen as an accomplishment.”
